The last Thursday of the month brings with it another episode of KCTV – the final episode of the season. In what was an admittedly unsatisfactory season on the field, there were many moments off it that brought Kaizer Chiefs closer to its supporters.
Chairman Kaizer Motaung drew the curtains on the season by delving deep into the year that has been. ‘Chincha Guluva’ touches on a variety of topics before looking ahead to coming back stronger on the field for the 2019/2020 season.
Off the field, Kaizer Chiefs partnered with Durban Tourism to offer 15 lucky supporters and their partners an all-expenses paid trip to Durban ahead of the Nedbank Cup final. The tour not only brought Amakhosi supporters together, it also included many fun and informational activities in the City of Durban.
The domestic season may have come to an end for many, but the football will continue in the form of Chiefs players representing their respective countries across various tournaments. Several Chiefs players have been selected for international duty in the Cosafa Cup as well as the Africa Cup of Nations.
Undoubtedly however, the biggest event of the off-season will be the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, taking place from 7 June – 7 July. Chiefs went to show support to Banyana Banyana by attending their send-off event at the Nike Football Training Centre in Pimville, Soweto. Our national team will be taking part in their first ever World Cup tournament.
Catch all this and more in the final KCTV episode of the 2018/2019 season on SuperSport 4, DStv channel 204 on Thursday 30 May at 19:30.
