Kaizer Chiefs arrived in Limpopo Province on Friday to attend to an Absa Premiership league match against Black Leopards.

Speaking after taking his charges through the pre-match practice session, coach Ernest Middendorp said: “The planning for this game has gone well. We had to take care of several aspects including conditioning the team to adapt to the hot weather conditions in Thohoyandou. We are facing a Black Leopards team that is not sitting in a comfortable position on the log. If you look at the league, there’s little that separate the teams at the bottom.”

The match takes place this afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

“I expect them to be concerned with their situation, and as expected, they are looking at home matches to collect points,” adds Middendorp. “It is going to be tight. We have analysed them and we have noticed some changes with some notable absentees in their team, such as Thuso Phala, Thabo Matlaba and Mwape Musonda.

“We also have some changes to manage in our team,” said Middendorp while confirming that the new arrival, Akumu Agay is not yet available for selection, “George Maluleka is not available due to suspension. We have that covered and are confident that whoever plays in that role will adapt accordingly.”

Kick-off for this anticipated match between Lidoda Duvha and Amakhosi is at 15:30.
