Amakhosi’s junior teams continued their upward trajectory with another successful weekend in the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL), where they emerged undefeated from a double-header of rounds in the competition.

On Saturday, they travelled to Woodlands International College to face Sevens Academy and came away with a clean sweep. The U14s’ 3-2 opening win was followed by a 2-0 victory for the U15s, a 5-2 trouncing by the U17s and equally emphatic 3-0 triumph for the U19s to round off a great day.

Then on Sunday, Chiefs welcomed Kathorus Hyper Academy to the Village for the next round of the various age-group leagues and, once again they impressed by winning three of the four matches and drawing the other one.

The U14s prevailed by 2-1 before the U15s were held to a 1-1 draw. The U17s brought their weekend goal tally to nine with a 4-1 win and the U19s ensured the July holiday hiatus would be ushered in by their 2-1 victory in the last match.
