Kaizer Chiefs are in Durban this evening for their 10th Betway Premiership match of the season against Durban City FC, this is after booking their place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stages with victory over AS Simba in the second preliminary round of the continental competition last Sunday.

Chiefs will be aiming to end their first third of their league campaign on a high with a win over newly-promoted Durban City, who have rebranded from their previous identity as Maritzburg United.

On the log, Chiefs are fourth with 16 points after nine matches and the hosts, are one position below Amakhosi, with 15 points after playing 10 games.

The coaches have opted to retain 10 of the Starting XI that did duty against AS Simba, with the one change coming in defence where Inacio Miguel, who is back a minor injury replaces last weekend’s second goal scorer, Zitha Kwinika.

The formation sees Chiefs go for 4-4-2 on the pitch..

Brandon Petersen will want to continue his good form in goal.

The back-four has Bradley Cross on the left, Aden McCarthy and Miguel in the centre, and on the right will be Dillan Solomons.

Sibongiseni Mthethwa is the holding midfielder. The left and right wings will have Mfundo Vilakazi and Mduduzi Shabalala, respectively. Behind the strikers is Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

The two goalscorers from last weekend, Etiosa Ighodaro and Glody Lilepo, combine in attack for Amakhosi.

The match referee is Tshidiso Mkhwanazi. He will be assisted by Zakhele Siwela and Tumi Mohlala. The fourth official is Lalelani Mngadi.
