Kaizer Chiefs Reserves trounced Cape Town City Reserves 3-0 in a MultiChoice Diski Challenge Festival fixture on Saturday afternoon.

Goals came as a result of smart finishes by Sizwe Twala (9th minute), Wayde Moodley (64’) and Ryan Moon (68’).

“Our performance was superb,” reflected Amakhosi’s midfielder Sabelo Radebe in a joyful mood after the outstanding performance. “If we had our momentum earlier in the season, this league would have been ours.

“However, we had a difficult start to the season and we had to correct many elements in our game before hitting our present form.”

Radebe walked away with a DStv Decoder for his excellent display that earned him the Man of the Match award.

Reflecting on his own performance, he modestly said: “I gave it my all, although I feel that I could have done even better.”

The match took place at Ulundi’s Prince Mangosuthu Stadium.

“The opponents gave us a run for our money,” added Radebe, while pointing out that City are the present log leaders. “The entire team deserves applause for their effort. We all showed commitment.”

The win over Cape Town City is Kaizer Chiefs Reserves’ fourth on the trot.
