It’s back to the Betway Premiership tonight, after Sunday’s TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup win against ZESCO United in Zambia, as Amakhosi face Marumo Gallants in Bloemfontein at 19:30.
Chiefs kicked off the year with two victories in the league and Confederation Cup against Golden Arrows and ZESCO respectively.
This evening’s clash between Gallants and Chiefs is their second meeting of the season after playing to a 1-1 draw at FNB stadium in September, where Khanyisa Mayo scored on his debut for Amakhosi.
On the log, Amakhosi are third with 27 points after 14 matches. A win will see Chiefs move to the second position on the standings. The home side are 12th with 15 points after as many matches.
For this match, the coach Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze have made six changes to the starting team as they manage the squad with the games coming every three days, as well as extensive travelling for six matches in a row. Dillan Solomons, Inacio Miguel, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Mfundo Vilakazi, Pule Mmodi and Flavio Da Silva will make way for Paseka Mako, Thabiso Monyane, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Mduduzi Shabalala, Asanele Velebayi and Glody Lilepo.
The team will change to a 4-3-3 formation this evening.
Brandon Petersen is in goal.
The back four will have Mako on the left, Aden McCarthy and Zitha Kwinika at centre-back, with Monyane on the right.
The holding midfielder is Lebohang Maboe. He will have Ngcobo and Shabalala in the creative midfield role.
Velebayi is on the left wing and Lilepo on the right.
Khanyi Mayo is the lone striker.
Blowing the whistle is Olani Kwinda. With Mervyn van Wyk and Lalelani Mngadi as assistant referees. The fourth official is Mokhele Thulo.
The Betway Premiership match between the Glamour Boys and Bahlabane ba Ntwa will kick off at 19:30 at Dr. Petrus Molemela stadium in Mangaung, Bloemfontein.
The match will be live on SuperSport’s PSL Channel 202 on DStv and various SABC radio stations. There will be regular updates on the Club’s X (formerly known as Twitter) account, @kaizerchiefs.
