Kaizer Chiefs Launch New Website

Kaizer Chiefs have launched a brand new and completely redesigned official Club website, www.kaizerchiefs.com

The clear and uncluttered design offers easy navigation around a wealth of essential Club information, and incorporates innovative new features to enhance the browsing experience for all Amakhosi fans. The new website echoes the forward-looking philosophy upon which the Club’s values have been built for almost half a century.
“The team, particularly the Digital team, worked tirelessly to ensure that we produce a website that matches the standards of leading brands in the world, with a strong focus on the needs of our supporters, sponsors, partners and stakeholders,” says Jessica Motaung, Kaizer Chiefs’ Marketing Director.

“We are delighted with the finished product and excited to present it to the public. It is the result of a lengthy process of meticulous planning, research, consultation, engagement with stakeholders and a lot of hard work at the Village over many months,” she adds.

The site provides a one-stop station for supporters to find authentic Club news, information about matches, exclusive pictures, videos and soundbites, issued directly from the Club.

The revamp includes updated and improved versions of previous sections such as senior team, reserve team and development team (which now include detailed, updated player profiles), as well as Club history and corporate information. To those have been added new sections, covering stadium information, KC Mobile, KC DigiStore, KC Insurance, KC Retail, Supporters and KC Kids.

“When we engaged the developers, we asked them to develop a site that is responsive and would enable our supporters to access it from any platform, be it via the computer, tablet, smart phone or feature phone,” says Kemiso Motaung, Kaizer Chiefs’ Digital Manager.
“As we continue to embrace advances in technology, functionality remains the key consideration and our website is designed to work perfectly on any device offering new graphics and expressing our strong visual language.”

In a break from the past, when the previous website was administered by SuperSport, the new website will be managed in-house by Kaizer Chiefs. This means supporters or anyone wishing to express their views may contact the Club with their suggestions.

The website is currently in beta mode to ensure that all teething problems are dealt with. The feedback from the large Amakhosi family of supporters, media and all those visiting the website is what is assisting the Digital Team in improving the experience on the new website.

“In addition to offering this user-friendly platform, we have introduced some new and exciting competitions where supporters can win great prizes and exclusive Kaizer Chiefs experiences simply by visiting the website and entering these competitions,” concludes Jessica Motaung.

The website will be launched in phases. The first phase went live on the 3rd of March 2017, with other phases and more exciting features scheduled to follow in the coming months.
Member of the Amakhosi family are encouraged to visits the website and share their thoughts and ideas by emailing supporters@kaizerchiefs.com or media@kaizerchiefs.com.
